New and old images of Burnham-on-Crouch
and the surrounding Dengie peninsula
Burnham-on-Crouch is a small town on the river Crouch in Essex. There are modern
images of this picturesque coastal town and old pictures of Burnham-on-Crouch and
some of the neighbouring villages of the Dengie peninsula. These include Althorne,
Asheldham, Bradwell, Creeksea, Fambridge, Latchingdon, Maldon, Tillingham, Southminster,
Steeple and St. Lawrence. There are also a couple of pictures of farmwork as it used
to be done in the very early 20th century. Click on the image or text below to go

A DVD video called "Now and Then in Burnham-on-Crouch" is available. This video is
an original production that uses the pictures you can see on this site, together
with many others, in an evocative look at times past and present.
The individual images on this site are available in a variety of formats both digital
and printed. There are also more pictures in both of these collections for you to
choose from.
